Quick Way to Clean Your Scalp While Protective Styling…

As many of you may know, I am currently wearing a protective style. They have been in for about 2 weeks and my scalp was extremely itchy. Because I am wearing senegalese twists instead of braids, I was a little hesitant about getting in the shower and washing my hair with the twists because I don’t want them to unravel. Of course I want my protective style to last a little longer, so I needed to do something.

I wanted to come on here to share with you guys, three products I used to cleanse, oil & refresh my hair.

Here are the three products I used and how I used them:

So the first thing I did was section my hair off. Then I worked in smaller sections within the sections I created.

  1. Sprayed water on my scalp.
  2. Applied the Cantu Shea Butter ACV Root Rinse. Then I massaged it into the scalp and then grabbed a cotton pad and rubbed it along my parts to collect any dirt that was on my scalp.
  3. Oiled my scalp with the Doo Gro Stimulating Growth Oil (been using it since i’ve gotten my twists, works wonders).
  4. Lastly…once i’m finished with the entire section, I take the Shea Moisture Odor Neutralizing Mist and spray it along the shaft of the hair.

AND THAT’S IT!!

Quick, easy and simple. My scalp feels so much better and my protective style can last a little longer! I never been a huge fan of Cantu products, but this got the job done for what I was trying to do, so i’m happy.

You purchase these items very easily if you would like to try them out.

Cotton Pads: You can get these from almost anywhere. Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc.

Cantu Shea Butter ACV Root Rinse: I received this in a subscription box, but you can purchase this item from the Walgreens website for $5.79. I’ve actually been thinking to try out the Root Relief product by Cantu as well. (Oh, & Walgreens is having a BOGO 50% off on these items right now!Β β™₯)

Doo Gro Stimulating Growth Oil: I bought this at my local Sally’s, but you can also get it from their website as well for $6.29. This can Also be found at Walmart as well.

Shea Moisture Odor Neutralizing Mist: I purchased this product at my local Walmart. Unfortunately, they don’t have this line on their website (not sure why =/), but I did find it on the Walmart website for $9.97. They also have a No Rinse Foaming Cleanser that you can try from this line as well.

*NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE CANTU ACV RINSE, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN. I JUST HAD IT IN MY STASH & DECIDED TO PUT IT TO USE.*
